I have been watching a series of videos about online marketing experts helping local businesses. With the economy still in shambles (in the U.S. and around the world) and soaring unemployment rates (it is actually 18.7% in the county I live in), we can't rely on the government or big corporations to get us out of the mess. Fortunately, there are hundreds of millions of small businesses around the world (who knows, it may even approach a billion) that can have a dramatic effect on the economic recovery around the world.
The videos I mentioned above are an introduction to a system that helps people help these small businesses on the internet. As business around the world gets more internet savvy, having an online pressence is crucial for businesses, even in those only providing products and services in their local area.
I am extremly inspired by what is happening and being talked about in these videos. I will share more details later on today, but for now suffice it to say, I am getting ready to start helping "main street" businesses get better results. Imagine the effect on the economy if each small business hired just 1 new employee. I bet things would be a lot better.
